Friedens, PA (April 14 2004). ErReR Hill Farms, a division of Riggs Industries, Inc., hosted its fifth annual Performance Tested Angus Bull and Commercial Female Sale on April 10, 2004. Over 75 people from Pennsylvania and surrounding states attended the auction that took place at the farm in Lincoln Township. The auction, one of its only type in Somerset County, PA, featured performance tested Angus bulls, cows, and commercial bred females from one of the oldest ongoing Angus operations in the Keystone State.

The sale was auctioneered by Col. Mike Rudolph of Warrensville, West Virginia, and by the end of the afternoon, 34 bulls, 19 heifers, and 11 cows and calves had been sold. The next event at the farm will be the fourth annual Production Sale to be held on November 13, 2004.

ErReR Hill Farms currently has 15 bulls leased to AI stud cooperatives. The farm is owned and operated by Mr. Sidney W. Riggs whose registered and accredited Angus herd of cattle currently consists of approximately 20 bulls, 150 cows, and 100 replacement heifers.

Fast approaching half a century as an Angus breeder, Sidney Riggs has also enjoyed the challenges of breeding ostriches, llamas, and miniature horses in addition to his Angus herd.
