We love cooking, it’s fun and calming. Tasty and healthy food is very important in our daily life. Remco and I have been eating vegetarian for quite some time and since January 2020 we eat completely vegan. There are many reasons to go vegan, but animal cruelty is most important to us. Veganism is the most powerful way to prevent suffering and save animals from death. Our second reason is to help the environment. Consuming meat and dairy is the worst thing you can do for our planet. Factory farming causes pollution, deforestation and the industry is one of the biggest causes of climate change. If you also want to make the transition to a vegan diet, you make a big impact reducing your ecological footprint.
And we really have to conclude that eating plant-based is not difficult at all. There are so many options and substitutes available and Internet is loaded with delicious vegan recipes. So why should we continue eating meat and animal by-products? We don’t need it and we can still eat our favorite food, but without cruelty and cholesterol.
